meetings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we have had a few realy good meetings and it all looks ltke it is coming together.

mask making was fun and looks like a good way of getting the kids involved and making them fit in the the colour theame. workshops are a thing that we need to focus on and try and get into the schools as soon as we can.

i think everyone is working well and it is all looking good so far but we still have a long way to go.

we had a meeting with ham house and theya re happy with how things are going they would like us to keep intouch bout numbers as this is there main worry. the meeting was realy good and they would like us to do a presentation to them in 3 weeks with a plan off the day and where we are at. this will be on everything fundrasing and general things so maybe some one from a few other groups could come with us.

they are realy excited about the event and realy want alot of our imput down to writing the song that will be sung on the day about ham so any one creating should have a think about it. they are looking at having bags made to give away and want our imput on this aswell.
Everything is going well we just need to wait for schools to get intouch and then just get into the scholls and start the fun.!!!

well we have had a few meetings and it is all becoming together a bit more, we have all had very contrasting views on how we all think things should be and this could become a issue but i hope we can all sort this out.

we have decided on doing a parade as well as the ham house event that at first i thought was a bad idea as it is making more work for everyone and separates the event but if the timing is right and there is lots going on in ham itself.

i think when we get a chance to meet with Gary and George it wil help to see what it is that they want as well as seeing if they like our ideas.

doing the walk on friday i think helped making us see what will actualy be happening on the day and alowed us to see how it could be, and start throwing ideas around.

well it has been a while the last few weeks of uni were so busy. Ham house was fun but as the time went on the fewer people could make it and this was very difficult for the people that were there as the timing was all off and we were storytelling non stop this was not down to any one as i am sure people had good resons for not being there. Rachel took over from zoe and realy wasnt very well and came in and organised everything very well she was a star.!!!!

we were supprised as we learnt how diffrent the days were from the age of the children every performance was realy diffrent some times we had to adaped our storytelling to the audence and sometimes just ended up playing with the children.

i realy enjoyed the weekend the first two were possiable better as there was more storytellers and by the last weekend i think that we were all abit down and tired of doing the same thing all day as we didnt realy get a chance to have a break we all carried on well and i think it went well but we were all ready for it to be over.

i have enjoyed working with everyone but i think that some of us have been let down by the money being taken and realy put a downer on the last weekend for me it might not have been one of us but in general i didnt like the feeling of not being able to leave my money in my own bag while we went to do someing nice. this is the only real downer of the whole experience for me. other that this i think every one did well. x

all our work payed off weekend went well, all very sleepy elfs now but was worth it, it was strange how each time we had diffrent children the stories changed, but it all worked realy well and the children and the grown ups responded well. (i love being an elf). i think that everyone worked realy well together and i think that it will only get better as the weekends go on.

i liked that we all found a way that our stories worked well together and all worked well as a company. todays went well as there was a lot of intertaction between the storys. And everyone stayed in characture realy well, also i think that the face painting is the best thing in the world watching the kids faces when they see thay can have it done and then what they end up looking like. but i realy enjoy the face painting and want to do it all the time. i think jess shouldnt be alowed to do any more stars ever poor mark!! stick to the reinders xx

writting storys

i found a few winter storys but wasnt happy with any of them as i thought that they were a little old so i have attempted to write my own i thik taht on wednesday when we meet up it will be helpful to get some feed back.

fridays lesson was realy good mark did some warm up exerises with us such as the ABC game we were in pairs and given a background story ans had to have a conversation using the letters of the alphabet such as the first person would say : any thing from the shops? and the next person would then have to start with b so could say 'bread and butter please' and so on i realy enjoyed it as it got us thinking and working quickly.

we also did an exercise to learn how to make a room have a atmosphere with out acting out any thing or with much speeking, this was realy interesting as we did learn to stop using conversation to show a feeling or to create and atmosphere.

we then told some of our storys to each other and gave each other feed back on how to deliver them and what realy worked as the audence, we all the had a talk on how we would use the space and next week we will be in the rooms that we will be using.
this lesson went realy well.

we started to shoe some of the storys and performances and some were realy good and could realy work for the winter christmas theme that we have decided on.

I realy enjoyed Bens story and think that that is perfect, with a bit more work it will be realy good!!

I felt that meeting went realy well today and that it feels as if we are getting some where and that the communication between everyone is getting better as well.

we touched apon having other things to do for the children such as drawing and just a place for them to sit and read or some where we can just sit and read to them, i think this will work well along side the more lively storys as it will be a place that the children that dont want to realy be involved can still be entertained.

also loved the idea of having people in characture as this will make it alot more visual and exciting.

looking forward to being in the house this week and hearing everyones storys. x

loved jens and zoes performance last week, think it could realy work as it was short and easy to move about !! i have got the bath book from my sister so will bring it tomorrow so you can all have a look and see what i was talking about.

Everyone at ham house are realy nice and i think that we will have fun working with them. Cant wait till we start but i am still scared of the house and the basment is creepy think we need to make it brighter and famly friendly so i dont get scared down there!!

Me and Jess both work as nannys and we could put something advertising the family fun at ham house up in there school as it is nice and close, get lots of people involved.
